Cave has done some pretty heavy and fast tunes over the years. This special edition EP with Street Carnival starts off all nice and calm with some nice tribal beats and then when the drums kick in you just kind of stop and are astounded by the beauty of this heavy percussion. Then it just drops and the bass and drums kick you in the face and bang! This track doesn't last very long but the impression this track has will play with your senses for a long time to come. A street party you really want to attend.

I heard this tribal drums from the middle of the track "Street carnival"(almost the same pattern) on the street parade in Tenerife. It was performed by a band of drummers during february/march carnival- awesome!! Don't know if it's regular carnival rhythm, anyways, worth of listening to it live.

This EP is a limited edition release. The A-track uses 'Give It Up' by The Goodmen (Fresh Fruit Records) in a awesome way..., heavy tribal stuff!

Give it up? It's just one of most well known rhythms played on the drums, but it's true that it's awesome and perfect tribal stuff
